Hello everyone,

Summer vacation officially begins tomorrow in Canada, and I am super excited. With only a few warm months to enjoy, many of us are eager to soak up as much sunshine and Vitamin D as we can.

My family’s favourite activity is spending time in the pool or heading to the beach whenever we get the chance. What are your plans for the summer?

I am taking a short break from blogging this summer, and I will see you again in September. With fall around the corner and kids back in school, I hope to return refreshed, rejuvenated, and full of new thoughts and ideas to share with you. True wisdom lies in knowing when to pause, reflect, and renew ourselves.

That thought reminds me of an interesting tradition in the Hindu calendar. There is a designated four-month period known as Chaturmaas, during which Lord Vishnu, the Preserver of the Universe, is said to take a break from his cosmic duties and enter a state of deep meditation known as Yoga Nidra.

The story is symbolic rather than literal. Vishnu ji’s rest represents a period of reflection, renewal, and inward focus in the cosmic cycle. When the Preserver of the Universe turns inward, perhaps it is also a reminder for us to spend some time looking within.

Wishing you a wonderful summer filled with sunshine, rest, and meaningful moments. Happy Canada Day in advance, and I will see you in September. 😊
