Operation: No Barbecue

It is Saturday morning, and Ryan doesn’t have to go to kindergarten today. Bryan is still eating his breakfast, squished into his high chair as always. He is such a slowpoke.

He kicked his soccer ball and was planning to play with the water hose. When he saw the garage door open and Dad’s barbecue grill right behind his Chevy truck.

Oh no! That means it’s a barbecue Saturday, and Dad’s going to cook tonight. Luckily, Mom brought Bryan out and put him in his walker. An idea flashed into Ryan’s mind.

He whispered in Bryan’s ear, “Let’s run to Chelsea’s house. I will drive my Chevy. We can escape to India and eat paneer and mango lassi.”
