I loved writing for “Friday Fictioneers” last week. I am giving it another try. Here’s the photo prompt and my 100-word story.

Lucas and Advik had been inseparable ever since Advik’s parents moved into the neighbourhood. They were walking back from school, like every day, when Lucas said, “I want to show you something.”
Advik yelled back, “I knew it. What are you hiding? You have been weird all week. You even missed our basketball game.”
“That’s what I am trying to tell you, but first you have to swear that you won’t tell a soul.” Lucas paused. “I found something. It looks like a confusing road sign… but it isn’t. It’s a portal, a door to a new place that nobody knows about.”
This was a lot of fun – and hey, sometimes the portal is a wardrobe – and then other times the sign points the way! – wonder what is next…. 🙂

Surabhi, the sign finally makes sense. Thanks for solving the mystery 😉 I wonder where those two will travel to through the portal.
